EMM PARIS

The Musical Audition of the School of Mediterranean Music (EMM) has become an unmissable event   at  the Arab World Institute. Every year, for three years already,  the concert presented by the students of the EMM, talented musicians and singers, fills the house in front of an audience of faithful music lovers and lover of Mediterranean music.

Under the direction of Maestro Wassim Ben Chaouacha, some sixty artists will give us a new interpretation of the great classics of Arab music, in an original and unique program characterized by the diversity and richness of its instrumental and vocal sounds._cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ The oud orchestra and the choir take us on a real musical journey through the heritage and history of music in Mediterranean countries. 

Singing music will also be there. The choir invites us to discover authentic melodies and songs drawn from the classical Arabic repertoire from the Maghreb to the Mashreq. Better still, this music will be interpreted and offered in a version revisited by maestro Wassim Ben Chaouacha. The orchestra will pay tribute to two great figures in the world of song. Thus will be evoked Fairuz, the pearl of Lebanon, but also the greatest of the divas of the Arab song of today and the famous Tunisian composer of the Thirties Khamais Tarnan. 

  The Musical Audition thus gives EMM students the opportunity to present their work on stage and offer their talent to the public. The Orchestra thus pursues the mission of education and openness, which it is committed to carrying out and engaging with the most diverse audiences.
