This year again the EMM of Paris renews the musical appointment with amateurs and enthusiasts of Arab and Tunisian music. It offers a concert, which we hope will be exceptional, entitled: Nuits d'orient which will take place on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 8 p.m. at the Mairie du V arrondissement. We have selected and worked throughout the year on famous pieces that we intend to perform to a large audience, and through which we hope to make them travel for the moment of a concert.
The School of Mediterranean Music in Paris has been pursuing its cultural and artistic mission for nine years, in an educational and open way to Arab and Arab-Andalusian heritage. . And like every year, the EMM is committed to highlighting the work of its students by inviting them to present on stage a repertoire drawn from our invaluable and rich musical heritage.
This year, the oud orchestra will present masterpieces from the classical Arabic repertoire, it will pay tribute to Mohamed Abdelwahab, by performing "Aziza" and "Annahr al-Khalid", and to Hédi Jouini by performing "Lamouni elli gharou menni" and " Samra ya samra".
The oriental choir will perform a wasla (vocal suite) in rast mode then it will pay tribute to the great Diva of Arab music Warda Aljazairia by presenting three of these songs: "Batwannes bik", "Lou al-malama" and "Harramt ahibbak". .
As at every concert, you will be captivated by the enchanting game of Maestro Wassim Ben Chaouacha, _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d whose music explodes musical colors. An exceptional musical event not to be missed.
