Singing lessons (in small groups - individual) 

The singing lessons are based on exercises chosen from the best methods of learning oriental singing. Our method alternates in perfect harmony the exploration of vocal techniques and the oral tradition of learning Arabic singing. These courses are intended for people wishing to learn the different techniques of oriental singing, improve their interpretations of the repertoire of traditional or current music, and learn the basics of vocal improvisation (mawwâl and layâli).
Over time, the student will discover the Arabic vocal repertoire of the Muwashahât and adwâr as well as the various masterpieces of the great stars of Arab song such as Um kalthoum, Abdel Wahâb, Farid, Fayiouz and others.
 
Singing lessons are developed around several components:  

• The development of musical ear and accuracy

• The placement of the voice

• Scales and arpeggios  

• The   phonetics and pronunciation

• Breathing techniques   and the relationship to sound

• The development of the tessitura

• The singing of Arabic modes (maqâmât) and the study of different modulations 

• Vocal ornamentation techniques 

• Interpretation and expressiveness

• Vocal improvisation le mawâl
